  1. Respect Tal Openheimer!
Great improvements overall in development platforms! Personally excited for AS 3.0

  2. Normal Keynote –> over 1,000,000 views
    Developer Keynote –> 9,000 views 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  3. Can someone tell me why we need a new programming language for Android? Is there a valid reason for Kotlin? I mean Java sucks, definitely, but if we really wanted to make development fast, we would use Javascript. The speed of Javascript development in unmatched by any language. Mark my words, it is only a matter of time before the majority uses Javascript to program all front ends.

Also, Google is kinda being an ass when they say Kotlin is a MATURE language and its mature out of the box. Maturity is when there is a large community around a language and you can find plenty of documentation, tutorials and youtube videos on the internet that can get any layman up and running. I'm sure many developers haven't even heard of Kotlin until now, so its kinda insane to say its a mature language. Google needs to focus on making programming available to the masses and not just us guys that have CS degrees. We need 1 universal programming language for the human race and that is Javascript. Other languages will always exist but we need 1 language that every human being needs to know at a basic level.

  4. I have no plans to convert to Kotlin, but it's good to see official support for another language. With the work the Dart and Flutter teams are doing, I wonder if that will become an official language at next year's I/O.

  5. to google stop forcing people to sign in and use passwords on everything, i can see you closing in as you own the internet. it wont work with me
